Painting Tools.

Here are the the names and functions of the tools for the Paint program :




















Functions:

  • Free-Form select - This tool has the effect to erase background colours or elements from a motif for stand-alone.
  • Select - This tool has the same effect as the free-form select except that with this tool you can select using an outline of a square rather than drawing your own outline.
  • Eraser - This tool is used to clear any part of the picture.
  • Fill with colour - This tool is used to fill the background with your choice of colour.
  • Pick colour - With this tool you need to click on any colour you wish to use and that will automatically be your colour choice.
  • Magnifier - Zooms into the picture at the rates of 1x, 2x, 6x and 8x.
  • Pencil - This tool is just like a normal graphite pencil, your draw it using your hands (free-hand). It can also be any colour you choose it to be.
  • Brush - This tool has similar characteristics to the pencil, except that it is darker and has thicker lines.
  • Airbrush - This tool is used the same way as a normal paintbrush except with a different feature using air.
  • Text - Used to add text to the painting.
  • Line - Used to draw straight lines onto the painting.
  • Curve - Used to draw curved lines onto the painting. Draw a line, then drag, from wherever you would like to curve the line, for as long as you need it.
  • Rectangle - This tool is used to draw a rectangle of any size.
  • Polygon - Used to make any shape with 3 sides or more.
  • Ellipse - Makes circles and other round shapes.
  • Rounded Rectangle - Makes rectangles with round corners of any size.
