for assignment 6

During the creation of the frames in the animation i saved the frames as 'png' format and 'svg' format. After finishing the frames, i converted these frames and opened them in Gimp. Then these opened in layers and i saved it as a 'gif' file. Then i went to Google docs and uploaded it and let anyone be able to see it.
The size of my animation is 144KB.

I found many different difficulties that i had to over come during the creation of the animation;

Firstly i decided on using pencil for my assignment but then the image size was too big and i didn't understand how to change it. Then i chose to use inkscape instead, i had to export bitmap every little thing i did, but i did it.

Secondly, the problem with inkscape is that it kept closing with an error that occurred and that happened twice. So after this error occurred, i was left to start from where i saved my 'svg' file.

Thirdly, after creating all my frames, i didn't know what to do when we had to convert the png files into gif. i decided to look on General Help and see if there was anything there that could help. After i found the video on how to change the png files into gif format i was able to open Google docs and upload it there, then i decided to do a practice run of it to check if it worked and it did.

thankss. x

for assignment 5

the animation on the other post worked so here is the process i used to create the animation;
  1. Open Gimp and click on 'File' and 'Open as Layers'
  2. Select all the 'png' files and select the file type -Automatically Detected
  3. Then click on 'Open' and Select 'File' and 'Save as'
  4. Select the area in which you want to save and rename
  5. Then click on 'Select File Type' and select 'GIF Image'
  6. Click on save and a box will then come up
  7. Select the box 'Save as Animation' and then 'Export'
  8. Another box will come up and select 'Loop Forever'
  9. Now go to 'Google Docs' and select 'Upload'
  10. Go to the file in which you saved your Gimp animation and select it
  11. Click on 'Start Upload' and then on 'Back to Google Docs'
  12. Select this file by placing a tick in the box
  13. Click on 'Share' and then 'Click the Link to Share'
  14. Select 'Allow anyone with the link to view'
  15. Copy the given URL address and paste onto your blog
  16. After publishing your post, anyone will be able to see it.

for assignment 4

This is a practice for uploading my animation to blogger,
if this works i will use the same method and edit it, hopefully it will work.

Here is the url for the animation;

For assignment 3

now i am opening the layers into gimp.
its becoming more and more difficult to do this. i can open it into layers but how do you save the png files to gif files, do you have to do them individually or is there another way to do it all together?

for assignment 2

This is my second post for assignment. A lot of things happened during this time. first i had to start my whole animation again because inkscape closed automatically and didn't save me a copy of my animation and also in the last frame i couldn't save that as a svg file so i was unable to move it.
Yesterday, we went to the i.s.t rooms at lunch to finish our assignment. in that time, i was able to finish doing the frames for my animation, and now i'm going to open gimp and convert it to a video and then upload the video to blogger.
Also the design for my assignment has changed, instead of using the monsters as the background for R Y A N ! ! i'm just using squares. Furthermore, there are 6 squares for each colour of the houses each of them holding a certain letter. Also the colour of the background is changed to white again instead of light blue. I'm up to using gimp to make the frames into a gif file now.

For assignment 1

This is the first blog for my assignment. I've decided what program im going to use, its Inkscape and i've also found the basic layout for the animation. Im using inkscape because its the easiest program that i know how to use and it creates shapes more easily than pencil.
The animation is basically going to look like a pink pacman eating the other monsters in the game. These monsters are going to have the letters 'R','Y','A','N' (one letter in each monster) inside them, after the pacman has eaten them all , the pacman comes back again with the 'R' 'Y' 'A' 'N' letters inside its body, to show that its eaten them all, also the colours of the letters inside the pacman are the same colours of what they were as the monsters to make it really look like its eaten them. It will have a light baby blue backround so its easy to see the characters.
Today i added the backround, drew the pacman figure and learnt how to make the mouth move :)

Pencil.

today i went on a program called Pencil in which i made picture animations. there are two layers; one is a Bitmap Layer and the other is a Vector layer. The bitmap layer is the backround and it never changes. the vector layer is the part that moves, the animation layer. There is also frames in Pencil, you can choose however many frames you want per second. The more frames there are- the faster the animation goes.
